Live Jazz in Bar Piña - Ed Fast and Congabop Quintet

Ed Fast has performed with many artists including Aretha Franklin, Chita Rivera, Frank Sinatra Jr, and countless Broadway productions in New York and internationally. Music driven travels to Cuba, Africa, Russia, and multiple trips to Asia have inspired and informed many original compositions that are at the heart of two highly acclaimed releases by Congabop: Straight Shot and Do or Die. These recordings include contributions by exceptional artists including legendary congero Bill Fitch, iconic guitarist Larry Coryell, and trombonist Steve Davis.

Ed Fast and Congabop Quintet features the vibraphone plus latin jazz rhythm section… and often includes vocals and special guests. The repertoire is comprised of classics from the Afro Cuban Jazz genre and is a tribute to some of its most celebrated practitioners including Cal Tjader, Tito Puente, and Hilton Ruiz.
