Catering & events
The daughter of a function coordinator for a restaurant and the niece of an event planner outside of Boston, Heather Schold has been breathing in the air of organization and presentation her entire life. With 20 years of experience executing successful, large-scale events in Connecticut and nationally, she brings a new twist to hotel and restaurant events.
Her official career in events began with The Arthritis Foundation in the early 2000s. Working her way from a Development Coordinator to a Regional Development Director, running some of the largest fundraising events for the organization in Connecticut and earning national awards in fundraising and event excellence. Heather has run everything from galas to golf tournaments and more.
Eventually, Heather branched off, forming Greystone Event Management and co-creating The Rising Pint Brewfest, which has become one of the most successful brewfests in the state. Greystone has become well versed in festival, sampling and chef events, bringing in clients such as The Boston Globe, Tribune Publishing, Star Tribune and the American Diabetes Association.
As illustrated, few experts in her field have ushered the wide variety of events she has in such diverse spaces. She works with the belief that great events are made up of great people and staff and in making your client feel comfortable and at home. It is our job to make things happen for them and take the stress and worry away. Heather is excited for Porron and Pina to be part of the fabric of the downtown community and to welcome people to downtown for a new hospitality and culinary experience.
